Hideki Miyazaki Tatsuyuki Yamamoto Hitoshi Kobayashi Atsushi Yokoyama OVERVIEW: Hitachi researches and develops control technologies and systems for electric vehicle motors that provide better energy effi ciency and safety. This has included using an EV test vehicle to demonstrate the use of the electric motor in traction control and antilock braking, utilizing the rapid changes in torque made possible by the superior torque response of electric motors to maintain vehicle traction even on slippery road surfaces. G-vectoring control and electric yaw-moment control are techniques that will be used with electric drive control in the future. Hitachi has proposed these together with methods for analyzing heat and energy consumption in the motor and other components under near-real-world conditions.

Energy cost minimization in an electric vehicle solar charging station via dynamic programming
Environmental crisis and shortage of fossil fuels make Electric Vehicles (EVs) alternatives for conventional vehicles. With growing numbers of EVs, the coordinated charging is necessary to prevent problems such as large peaks and power losses for grid and to minimize charging costs of EVs for EV owners. Therefore, this paper proposes an optimal charging schedule based on Dynamic Programming (DP...

Torque ripple minimization of switched reluctance motor drives is a major subject based on these drives’ extensive use in the industry. In this paper, by using a well-known cascaded torque control structure and taking the machine physical structure characteristics into account, the proposed energy-based (passivity-based) adaptive sliding algorithm derived from the view point of energy dissipati...

In biological systems, nanoscale molecular motors can generate forces from spontaneous reactions of energy-rich molecules, mostly adenosine triphosphate (ATP), to convert chemical energy into mechanical movement. These motors are roughly 10 nm in size, take steps of a few nanometers, and can exert forces in the piconewton range. [ 1 , 2 ] However, to effi ciently design and construct nanoscale ...
متن کاملDynamic Demand Management in an Airconditioner System by Frequency Control in Smart Grid Environment
As there is a rapid growth both in the number of power consumers and also the limitations energy resources, it is clearly accepted that the old version of power grid must change into smart grid from head to toe. One of the most important advantages of smart grid which makes it much more exclusive rather than other typical systems is the two-way connectivity between the utility and the costumers...

A conceptual framework for crop production effi ciency was derived using thermodynamic effi ciency concept, in order to generate a tool for performance evaluation of agricultural systems and to quantify the interference of determining factors on this performance. In Thermodynamics, effi ciency is the ratio between the output and input of energy. To establish this relationship in agricultural sy...
